Skincare vs make-up😅

I’ve realized I take skincare way more seriously than makeup, and honestly… it just makes sense to me. Skincare feels like long-term planning. Makeup feels like temporary decoration. One is investing in the house, the other is rearranging the furniture. Don’t get me wrong, makeup is fun. But I’d rather spend time figuring out what keeps my skin happy than learning a new contour technique I’ll forget in three days. Also, if the skin underneath behaves, you suddenly need way less makeup anyway… which feels like the ultimate life hack. 😄

Highlights

So many handcreams suck but not this one

I’ve been using the Shea Butter Hand Cream for a while and it’s one of those hand creams I keep going back to. The texture is quite rich, but it absorbs faster than I expected and doesn’t leave my hands feeling greasy. It’s especially nice when my hands feel really dry (for example in winter or after washing them a lot). A small amount is usually enough and it makes my hands feel softer pretty quickly. The scent is light and clean, not too strong. Overall it just feels like a reliable everyday hand cream that actually helps when your hands are dry.

Toner vs Serum 🤔

The Ginseng Toner has been amazing for my dehydrated skin. I know the snail serum is very hyped, and I do think it is nice, but if I am being honest, the Ginseng Water does a lot more for my skin. It gives me better hydration, feels more refreshing, and leaves my skin looking healthier overall.

The Shea Butter Recipe I Grew Up With 🇬🇭

I love shea butter from Ghana 🇬🇭 It has done wonders for my skin. My father has been using shea butter since I was little, so it has always been something special to me. Benefits of shea butter: It is super moisturising, calming, and nourishing for the skin. It is rich in vitamins A, E, and F, helps support the skin barrier, and can be great for dry skin, eczema, irritation, and even sunburn.

Melt raw shea butter on low heat.

Add some virgin olive oil and your favourite essential oil for fragrance. I love lavender 💜

Optional: add a few drops of vitamin E oil.
