This is much more my sort of perfume.

It has that powdery, slightly old-fashioned quality that I know will not appeal to everyone, but on my skin it becomes soft, warm and beautifully elegant rather than dated.

It is noticeable without being overbearing, which is what I want from perfume.

 I never tire of it.

This one feels like me

This is much more my sort of perfume.

I respect this perfume far more than I enjoy wearing it. A friend of mine wore it the other day and it smelled absolutely lovely on her, which made me wonder whether I had been too quick to dismiss it.

So the next time I was in a department store, I tried it on my own skin and wore it for the rest of the day.

By the evening, I had reached exactly the same conclusion as before: beautiful perfume, just not for me.

Being over 50 does not automatically mean one develops a moral obligation to love Chanel. The smell is simply not my cup of tea.

Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun 

  • slightly creamier, 
  • more moisturiser-like and generally easier for me. 

This is the one I grab when my skin is feeling dry or irritated.

 

SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Sun Serum 

  • lighter going on, but somehow ends up looking shinier on my forehead after a few hours.

They’re honestly both really good. I just kept expecting the SKIN1004 to replace the BOJ because everyone makes them sound so similar.

 

But BOJ still wins for me.

I tried the K18-ish alternative 👀

I’ve been using K18 for a while, but the price hurts when I think about replacing it.

I picked up the Hairification  mask after seeing people compare the two and tried it on alternate wash days.

 

My Verdict:

The H24 gives me really nice softness, my ends feel less rough and I don’t feel like I’m rationing every pump. Is it exactly the same as K18? No. My hair still feels a little stronger with K18.

 

I might end up keeping K18 for occasional repair washes and using this in between.

Be careful with those travel sprays, I had one crack in my purse while I was on a road trip. My then-boyfriend got the worst headache, and I was demoted from passenger princess to driver until his headache got better 😅. I now keep them in a vinyl ziplock bag in my purse if I really need to bring one on the go.
